WHAT IS ACTIVATED CHARCOAL?

Charcoal has traditionally been used to reduce intestinal gas and bloating after eating (1). Activated charcoal is made by grinding charcoal into a fine powder and “activating” it by exposing it to oxygen and high temperatures.
